Job Specifications
Job Location: Charlotte, NC or Denver, CO (5 days onsite)
We are seeking a senior-level Cryptographic Governance and PKI Specialist to lead enterprise-wide governance efforts related to cryptographic technologies, key lifecycle management, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for defining governance frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing cryptographic risk, and partnering with engineering, audit, and compliance teams to enable secure and compliant implementations across the enterprise.
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, PKI architecture, and key lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience with enterprise crypto governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, or similar regulatory standards.
Familiarity with secure communication protocols (TLS, SSH, certificates).
Experience supporting audits, regulatory exams, and control assessments.
Exposure to cloud key management, HSMs, and secrets protection.
Awareness of Post-Quantum Cryptography trends and implications.
Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
