The client is looking for a Senior Engineer (Mainframe & Network) with deep platform credibility and security/cryptography transformation experience, specifically around post-quantum cryptography (PQC).

Location(s): Tampa, FL and Plano, TX

Contract to Hire (Y/N): N

Schedule: 5 days onsite

Possible 6-month extension

Mainframe-first expertise

Hands-on familiarity with z/OS ecosystem
Comfortable discussing ICSF, RACF, CPACF, Crypto Express, key management
Must have operated at scale (enterprise mainframe environments)

Large-scale delivery leadership

Ownership of end-to-end delivery, not just coordination
Experience driving multi-year, high-risk, compliance-heavy initiatives
Strong governance, dependency management, and stakeholder control

Security & Cryptography Transformation

Assessment of existing cryptographic algorithms
Understanding of quantum risk to classical encryption
Ability to design and execute migration roadmaps (classical → PQC)
Awareness of emerging standards (e.g., NIST PQC)
