Salary: From September 2026 - £8.00 per hour – Apprenticeship Wage - during first 12 months. (If 19 years old or over, after 12 months your salary will increase to minimum wage for your age)

About This Opportunity
Kickstart your career in transport and infrastructure with our Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship at Cumberland Council. In this role, you’ll support our Transport Planning Team to help shape, improve and deliver sustainable transport services across Cumberland. From analysing travel data and modelling future demand, to assisting with the planning and design of transport projects, you’ll play a key part in creating safer, greener and better-connected communities. You’ll work alongside experienced transport planners, engage with a range of professionals and stakeholders, and contribute to real projects that influence how people move around our region. Eligibility Checks: Training providers will carry out eligibility checks.
