4-Year Technical Apprenticeship Programme
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (36.5-hour week)
Includes day release to Warwickshire College Group for theoretical and practical learning.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a highly innovative university department through our four-year modern Technical Apprenticeship Programme. As part of the Technical Services team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting WMG’s cutting-edge research.
This apprenticeship combines academic progression through a Level 4 college course with hands-on experience. You'll gain practical skills and in-depth knowledge by working with a dynamic technical team and a growing apprentice network.
During your apprenticeship, you’ll receive training in core engineering practices, including:

About You
Genuine interest in engineering and technology, with some hands-on experience (formal or informal) in areas like mechanical work, electronics, or similar technical projects.
A curiosity for understanding how things work and a passion for problem-solving. An innovative mindset, with a willingness to experiment and learn from failure.
Motivated and Enthusiastic: Demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and takes initiative to develop skills.
Team Player: Works well with others, contributing positively to a collaborative environment.
Attention to Detail: Shows accuracy and thoroughness in tasks, especially in practical or technical work.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and manage a combination of work and academic commitments.
Strong organizational skills to keep track of assignments, assessments, and project work
Adaptable and Resilient: Thrives in a dynamic environment and can handle challenges with a positive mindset.
Effective verbal and written communication to collaborate with peers, supervisors, and academic staff.

Following shortlisting, successful stage 1 applicants will be invited to WMG’s Technical Apprentice Assessment Day
