Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack, Data Platforms)

The role

Build tools and APIs that connect complex data with user-facing applications
Work in a cross-functional Data Fabric team alongside data engineers and product
Own features end to end, from API design to frontend delivery
Shape how data is standardised, queried, and surfaced across products

What you’ll do

Design and build scalable APIs using Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript
Apply best practices around API versioning, authentication, and security
Build frontend features with React, Redux, and TypeScript
Collaborate closely with data engineers to optimise queries and manage costs
Contribute to dashboards and data visualisation tools
Take ownership from development through to production

What we’re looking for

Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript across backend and frontend
Solid understanding of API design and data structures
Experience working with databases and complex queries
Comfortable working with varied data formats like JSON and CSV
Experience in AWS environments, DynamoDB and Lambda in particular
Enjoys collaborating, discussing problems, and shipping clean code

Nice to have

Exposure to Databricks, Kinesis, or large-scale ETL pipelines
Interest in AI-assisted querying or natural language to SQL
Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog
Interest in crypto or blockchain tech
