Job Specifications

Cloud Engineer (Azure & Kubernetes) - £60,000 - £70,000pa

Hybrid working: 1-3 days in the office per week.

Location: Near Swanley

JNC are working with a leading professional services client near Swanley that are looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join a newly created team on a permanent basis.

Only candidates with strong Azure skills as well as hands on experience working with Kubernetes and containerisation can be considered.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement Azure Cloud architecture using PaaS, SQL and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Work closely with other teams on the integration and delivery of cloud solutions.
Help maintain and implement new cloud security controls.
Work closely with Infrastructure and DevOps teams on cloud security best practise and CI/CD Pipelines.
Optimise and AKS environments. Make sure cluster configuration and container lifecycle management is in line with best practise.
Use your experience of cloud networking and security to secure environments.
Manage IAM and key management systems across Azure.

Experience Required:

Must have extensive experience in Azure cloud engineering and support.
Hands on skills with Azure and IaC tooling like Terraform.
Hands on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS environments. Including cluster configuration, container lifecycle management, and operational resilience.
Knowledge of cloud-native monitoring and observability tools.
Azure certifications would be a bonus but not essential with relevant experience.
Experience with Docker is a bonus.
Experience with HashiCorp ecosystem is a bonus.
