Deployment Engineer/Implementation Engineer, £275 per day inside IR35
6 weeks initially, Bristol
Bench IT are seeking a technically strong IT Deployment/Implementation Engineer (2nd Line level or above) to support the implementation of a new care system. The role will focus on device management, Intune configuration, authentication workflows, user provisioning, and troubleshooting during the transition from Meraki MDM to Microsoft Intune.
Technical skills
2nd Line IT support level skills or above.
Strong experience with Microsoft Intune (Android device enrolment, Shared Device Mode, app deployment, config profiles, compliance policies).
Familiarity with MDMs, ideally Meraki ? Intune.
Good understanding of 802.1X authentication, certificates, and wireless troubleshooting.
Experience with Entra ID, identity provisioning, and SSO configuration.
Understanding of RBAC, group management, and user lifecycle processes.
Ability to work with third party vendors (Nourish, CLB, CLSS, Byphone, Sky Response etc.).
Essential Skills
Network & Security: Conduct rigorous 802.1X authentication testing, ensuring seamless roaming between access points without connection drops.
Intune Leadership: Configure and deploy Android devices in Shared Device Mode, validating compliance policies and Conditional Access behaviours.
App Integration: Test and troubleshoot alert-critical apps (eg, CLB, Sky Response, Byphone) to ensure 100% notification reliability.
Identity & Provisioning: Support Nourish integration with Entra ID, managing SSO flows and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
Project Delivery: Produce technical documentation, "how-to" guides for frontline staff, and perform a structured handover to the internal IT team.
