**Job Title**
Deployment Engineer / Implementation Engineer
**Role Summary**
Orchestrate the transition of an NHS care system from Meraki MDM to Microsoft Intune. Deliver second‑line support, configure device profiles, manage authentication workflows, provision identities, and ensure seamless operation of critical alert apps.
**Expectations**
* 6‑week contract, technical lead for renewal possibilities.
* Produce end‑to‑end documentation, frontline guides, and a formal handover.
* Demonstrate measurable improvements in device compliance and SSO reliability.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Conduct rigorous 802.1X authentication testing; ensure roaming and connection stability.
* Configure Android devices in Shared Device Mode via Intune; enforce compliance and Conditional Access.
* Deploy, test, and troubleshoot alert‑critical third‑party apps (CLB, Sky Response, Byphone, etc.).
* Integrate Nourish and other services with Entra ID; manage SSO, RBAC, and group lifecycle processes.
* Produce technical documentation and “how‑to” guides for frontline staff.
* Lead structured handover to internal IT team, ensuring knowledge transfer and post‑deployment support.
**Required Skills**
* 2nd line IT support or higher – diagnosis, resolution, escalation.
* Extensive Microsoft Intune experience: Android enrollment, shared device mode, app deployment, configuration profiles, compliance policies.
* Proficiency with other MDMs, especially Meraki.
* Strong understanding of 802.1X, certificates, wireless troubleshooting.
* Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), identity provisioning, SSO configuration, RBAC, group management.
* Ability to collaborate with vendors (Nourish, CLB, CLSS, Byphone, Sky Response).
* Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Microsoft certifications strongly preferred:
- Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-100/MD-101)
- Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Intune Administrator (MD-101)
* Past deployment or implementation experience within a healthcare or regulated environment is an advantage.
