Relay is entering an exciting new chapter of growth, and we’re looking for a Financial Analyst to help scale our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this is a high-visibility role that will be working closely with our Senior Financial Analyst & Strategic Finance Lead to support financial planning, reporting, and business performance analysis contributing to drive Relay’s success. You’ll work cross-functionally across all departments at Relay to improve visibility into key performance metrics, strengthen financial planning processes, and provide data-driven insights that inform operational and strategic decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

Support monthly and quarterly forecasting by maintaining and refreshing financial models, incorporating actual performance trends and accounting treatment updates.
Manage budget vs. actual tracking and conduct MoM and variance analysis, providing clear commentary to support monthly close and performance reviews.
Support the development of business performance targets, ensuring financial assumptions align with operational drivers.
Contribute to forward-looking scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to inform data-driven strategic decisions.
Support managing vendor contracts-related financial processes, including spend tracking, cost analysis, and integrating assumptions into forecasting models.
Conduct cohort and segmentation analysis to evaluate KPI performance, revenue trends, and product usage activity.
Maintain dashboards tracking KPIs and operational metrics.
Build SQL queries to analyze customer and product data
Improve and automate finance processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Ad hoc projects, analysis, & team support

Who You Are

1-3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, or business analytics
Experience in financial modeling, including building and maintaining forecasting and scenario models.
Proficiency in writing SQL and building dashboards to analyze and visualize financial and operational data.
You excel in verbal and written communication, effectively conveying complex information with clarity
You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in delivering error-free, concise, and accurate work
You’re analytical and make decisions based on timely and accurate analysis
You have a team player mindset – our team is small and mighty, and we collaborate constantly
You’re a self-starter with a growth mindset and thrive in a fast-paced, scrappy environment where you can make an impact

Stage 3: A 60-minute case study with members of our finance team

Our Compensation Approach

We believe Relayers should feel rewarded for the impact they have on our mission and growth. Compensation follows impact. As impact increases, compensation grows, and we do not limit compensation changes to a once-a-year review cycle.

The annual salary range for this role is $76,500 - $93,500 CAD

For candidates who demonstrate full readiness for the defined scope of the role, the typical starting salary is $85,000 CAD. Offers below this point reflect candidates we believe can grow into the full scope of the role with support and development. Offers above this point reflect impact that meaningfully exceeds the role’s defined expectations or an expanded scope from day one.
