About this opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk Junior to support daily cash application processes, cheque deposits, credit card postings, and AR adjustments. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy under tight deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The successful candidate will work onsite and collaborate closely with internal finance and operations teams.
What You’ll Do:
Manage complex daily cheque deposits, ensuring accuracy, discrepancy identification, reconciliation, and adherence to internal controls.
Perform daily coding of cheques, EFTs, and credit card payments, confirming correct customer accounts, GL coding, and financial period alignment.
Assist with EFT payment requisitions, including document validation, compliance checks, and workflow approvals.
Complete Accounts Receivable adjustments such as write‑offs, reversals, corrections, and reclassifications while ensuring policy compliance.
Post transaction batches in two financial systems, ensuring data integrity and cross‑system alignment.
Enter and balance daily cash batch postings, verifying totals against deposits, resolving variances, and ensuring timely closeouts.
Conduct cheque scanning via RDC, reviewing image quality, correcting errors, and ensuring successful submission and proper audit recording.
What You Bring:
Strong Accounts Receivable knowledge and experience
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high‑volume environments
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
Experience with cash applications, cheque deposits, EFT processing, and batch posting (an asset)
Bilingualism in French is an asset (interviews will be conducted in English)
Nice to Have
Bilingual (French) – asset only; interviews will be conducted in English.
Experience with high-volume AP/AR environments.
Intermediate Excel skills.
