Job Specifications

This is a hands-on job which requires data collection. The nature of the job and the equipment used requires the contractor to be onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The fundamental responsibility in this role is to maximize clarity and visibility for the Data team and its clients on the plans and status of data collection work assigned to our local team and facilities.

Exact responsibilities will vary with the specific projects assigned, and some will be shared with other roles, but are likely to include:

Requirements capture
Building, maintaining and sharing plans
Developing technical guidelines for data collection activities
Reviewing quality of delivered data, applying metrics where appropriate.
Identifying and resolving (or escalating) obstacles and major dependencies, including hardware or data compliance requirements
Sourcing and supporting participants for data collections, both internally and via external agencies
Hands-on work helping with the setup and running of data collections where needed
Reporting within the Data team and to client Research teams.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks, tracking progress, and communicating with stakeholders.
Able to produce clear and concise documentation for effective communication with stakeholders.
Experience working with large spreadsheets or databases. For example, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, MySQL or Microsoft Access.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and time management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Adaptable and quick to learn

Desired:

Programming or scripting experience e.g. Python.
Previous technical experience connected to data collection, data annotation OR machine learning.

EDUCATION

Degree-educated in a relevant field or having at least three years of relevant professional experience.
