Role and Overview of the role:

This is a Back-end Developer position. Deploy everything to AWS, so everything that team does is with AWS, Java within AWS. AWS (SNS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, many different services). Key difference between a level 4 and level 5 it's just like a year of experience, both positions are the individual contributor. Using AI to enhance development like generating code using AI or unit tests. If somebody has AI experience that's great and that maybe can bring them closer to the top of the list of people that interview makes sense. Currently using Java 17.

Top Skills:

l 10+ years or more of experience in designing and developing software applications in Java.

l Developing software applications using relational and NoSQL databases.

l Deploying software using CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GoCD, etc

l Deploying and maintaining software using public clouds such as AWS or Azure.

l Experience with AI tools is a BIG PLUS**

l Strong understanding and/or experience in many of the following:

l Message streaming solutions, such as AWS Kinesis, AWS SQS, AWS SNS, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Apache ActiveMQ.

l Experience designing well-defined Restful APIs

Education and Experience:

l Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering or related field is required w/ 10+ years’ experience needed
