Job Specifications

To support our group-wide Dynamics 365 Business Central rollout, we are looking for a Business Central Lead to join our team.

About the Company

CLdN is a leading provider of integrated quay-to-quay and door-to-door logistics solutions. Founded in 1929, CLdN ensures reliable, cost-effective transport that links the major economic areas of Europe. With 30 ships and more than 200 sailings a week, CLdN provides shortsea connections between the European continent, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Iberia and Scandinavia and offers the lowest CO2 footprint of all Western European RoRo operators. CLdN’s cargo and multimodal services have a Europe-wide reach using CLdN’s extensive network of ships, terminals and equipment. CLdN’s 3,000 employees ensure that it fulfills its mission: to excel as an integrated provider of maritime links. To support this ambition, we plan to roll out Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across our group.

About the Role

As Business Central Lead, you will act as the internal functional owner of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across the group. You will drive the end-to-end roll-out across multiple entities and countries, ensuring that Business Central becomes a standardized, scalable and future-proof platform supporting Finance, Logistics and Operations. You combine strong functional expertise with pragmatic delivery leadership. You challenge where needed, build alignment across stakeholders and ensure that solutions remain fit-for-purpose and aligned with our long-term architecture.

Responsibilities

Advise with well-founded proposals based on proven roll-out experience, including impact, risks, effort and trade-offs.
Define and safeguard the global template, balancing standardisation with justified local requirements.
Translate business requirements into functional designs and system configurations.
Support process standardization, automation and optimization across finance, logistics and operations by identifying gaps, defining target processes and recommending improvements.
Act as the internal design authority while working closely with external implementation partners: clarify requirements, review and challenge solution proposals, validate functional deliverables and support timely execution.
Coordinate and support delivery activities such as data migration preparation, integration requirements, testing, training materials and issue triage—ensuring smooth collaboration between IT, Finance and local teams.
Contribute to post go-live improvement by capturing feedback, monitoring adoption and proposing enhancements and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ideally with multiple roll-outs/implementations in a multi-entity and/or multi-country context.
Solid knowledge of Finance and/or Logistics processes (e.g., GL, AP/AR, invoicing, VAT, inventory, reporting).
Proven ability to lead functional analysis and turn business needs into clear recommendations, functional designs and configurations.
Experienced in working with implementation partners and supporting delivery activities.
Functionally strong, technically aware (integrations/data/testing concepts), but not a developer.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent in English (other European languages are a plus).
Structured, pragmatic problem-solver with a hands-on attitude.
