Software Engineer II

Location: St. Louis, MO (100% Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months (with possible extensions)

Rate: $68 – $79/hr W2

This is an onsite contract opportunity in St. Louis with a global medical device organization specializing in surgical equipment innovation. The role focuses on developing embedded Windows applications using C#/.NET, including GUI development (WPF), CAN Bus manufacturing and service tools, and software update tools. This is a 12-month W2 contract with potential extensions.

This is a high-visibility opportunity supporting a net-new manager where you can truly make an impact. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across quality, manufacturing, and product service while contributing to regulated medical device software. If you enjoy working in a structured development environment with meaningful real-world impact and exposure to embedded systems in surgical equipment, this role offers strong growth and technical ownership.

Required Skills & Experience

· C#/.NET Windows applications development

· Visual Studio, Git source control, pull requests, and WPF user interface development

· Azure DevOps Git

· Experience working in a similar industry (medical device or regulated environment strongly preferred)

· BSCS, BSCE, BSEE, or related Engineering/Science degree with relevant software experience

Desired Skills & Experience

· CAN Bus manufacturing & service tool experience

· Experience developing software in regulated environments

· ClearCase version control experience

· Strong documentation experience (requirements, design, test protocols)

Tech Breakdown

· 100% Microsoft C#/.NET, WPF, Azure DevOps Git

Daily Responsibilities

· 70% Hands On development of embedded Windows applications and GUI

· 30% Team Collaboration with internal teams, external design suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and service groups
