Role Description
The Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the end-to-end operational workflow across forecasting, inventory, warehousing, fulfillment, supply chain coordination, and customer service operations. You will work cross-functionally and lead on-the-ground execution to ensure we deliver a world-class customer experience while maintaining operational efficiency and scalability.
This role requires strong hands-on experience, an analytical mindset, and deep familiarity with Shopify and modern e-commerce operational tools.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Planning
Build and maintain demand forecasts across product lines using historical data, sales velocity, and seasonal trends.
Partner with leadership to align inventory planning with growth goals, marketing calendars, and new product launches.
Identify risks, shortages, and opportunities early to ensure optimal inventory levels.
Inventory Management
Oversee complete inventory lifecycle, including purchasing, tracking, reconciliation, and stock optimization.
Manage product allocations, safety stock levels, and inventory turnover strategies.
Maintain high accuracy in inventory systems and provide regular reporting to leadership.
Warehouse & Fulfillment Management
Manage relationships and workflows with warehouse partners and in-house warehouse team.
Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, pick/pack, and quality control.
Lead and manage fulfillment workers; set performance metrics, training, and daily operational oversight.
Ensure all fulfillment processes follow efficient, documented SOPs and meet delivery SLA standards.
Supply Chain Management
Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, packaging vendors, and logistics partners.
Ensure timely production, inbound shipments, and cost-effective logistics planning.
Troubleshoot issues in the supply chain and proactively implement improvements.
E-Commerce Systems & Operational Tools
Operate and optimize Shopify back-end workflows, including orders, inventory syncing, and returns.
Utilize modern inventory management systems
Ensure smooth integration across platforms—Shopify, 3PL systems, shipping tools, CRM, and customer service tools.
Customer Service Operations
Oversee customer service operations to ensure timely, helpful responses and issue resolution.
Build and maintain processes for returns, exchanges, and after-sales support.
Collaborate with the CX team to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
Operational Excellence & Improvement
Build and refine SOPs for all operational functions.
Implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance accuracy.
Analyze operational performance metrics and drive continuous optimization.
Qualifications
3–6+ years of operations experience in e-commerce, CPG, or consumer brand environment (start-up experience strongly preferred).
Strong hands-on knowledge of Shopify, warehouse systems, fulfillment processes, and inventory software.
Experience managing 3PLs, warehouses, or internal fulfillment teams.
Analytical mindset: skilled at forecasting, planning, and operational data analysis.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams or warehouse staff.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Experience in the wellness or personal care industry is a plus

Salary Range: $90-$120K per year plus bonus and stock options.
