Role Overview

Our Toronto office is currently seeking a Coordinator, Business Development & Marketing in our Business Development & Marketing department, reporting to our Chief Growth Officer. Working closely with the BD and Marketing leaders, lawyers, and cross-functional teams, the Coordinator will support initiatives across budgeting, events, marketing communications, client development programs, and practice/industry group planning. The Coordinator will contribute to both day‑to‑day operational activities and longer-term strategic initiatives that enhance the firm’s market presence, client engagement, and business development efforts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Budgeting, Financial Administration & Administrative Support

Assisting the CGO with invoice processing, including coding, tracking, and liaising with Finance to ensure timely payment.
Supporting the CGO, BD managers and Events professionals in monitoring and reviewing budgets, including monthly variance tracking and reporting.
Supporting the coordination of internal team meetings, schedules, and shared resources.
Providing general administrative support to the national BD & Marketing team.

Events & Client Engagement

Working with the Specialist, Events & Client Experience (Toronto):

Supporting the execution of client-facing events, seminars, sponsorship activations, and internal programs in the Toronto office, including certain event logistics such as venue bookings, guest lists, RSVPs, and on-site support.
Assisting with post-event follow-up, including attendee tracking, reporting, and evaluation.
Supporting the management of the firm’s promotional item inventory and ordering processes, including vendor liaison, gift selection, distribution logistics and tracking usage, budgets, and inventory levels to ensure efficient program management.

Business Development & Marketing Support

Assisting BD leaders in tracking action items, milestones, and deliverables related to practice group and industry group business planning processes.
Conducting light research to support BD initiatives, including client, industry, and competitor insights as needed.
Providing overflow support for certain marketing and communications activities, including:

Website updates (lawyer bios, practice pages, news items, etc.).
Emailing marketing campaigns (client alerts, newsletters, event invitations).
Social media content coordination.
Collateral updates and brand consistency checks.

The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:

Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in a professional services environment (law firm experience considered an asset).
Experience in events, hospitality or an executive assistant function is an asset.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, or website CMS tools is an asset.
A collaborative mindset and a proactive, service-oriented approach.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary Range: $51,00 - $61,000 Annually
