Program Overview

RIVA Solutions is a people-first, mission-driven government services company supporting federal clients across IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and enterprise modernization. Our Corporate Operations team plays a critical role in enabling company-wide success by supporting internal business functions, improving processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to the operational backbone of a growing GovCon organization and offers meaningful opportunities to contribute to real business initiatives while learning from experienced professionals.

Position Overview

RIVA Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Operations Intern to support internal business operations across multiple functional areas. This role is ideal for a student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in corporate operations, business administration, and professional services environments.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. This internship offers exposure to corporate workflows, cross-functional coordination, and best operational practices within a federal contracting organization.

This role functions as an operational extension of the Corporate Operations leadership team, enabling meeting execution, performance reporting, governance tracking, and administrative workflow optimization.

Core Responsibilities

Provide direct support to the Director of Corporate Operations including priority tracking, leadership brief preparation, meeting coordination, and proactive administrative management to enable execution of enterprise operations initiatives.
Maintain Microsoft Planner boards, track milestones and risks, follow up on task owners, and ensure operational documentation, trackers, and shared workspaces (Teams/SharePoint/OneDrive) remain current and organized.
Pull transcripts and recordings from Microsoft Teams using MS Copilot and other tools; produce structured meeting summaries, decisions, and action items using ChatGPT or approved AI tools; distribute readouts and track follow-ups across Corporate Operations 1:1s, Accounting & Finance weekly calls, and other cross-functional meetings.
Support end-to-end execution of the Monthly Operations Meeting including slide preparation, running the presentation deck, capturing live notes, risks, and leadership asks, and producing the post-meeting executive summary and action tracker.
Populate and maintain monthly departmental performance data, reporting trackers, and dashboards; support Quarterly Performance & Action Reviews (QPARs) through data collection, analysis, slide preparation, and action tracking.
Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline administrative workflows, automate summaries and reporting, and standardize templates for recurring operational deliverables.
Provide ad hoc administrative, documentation, coordination, and process support across Corporate Operations as assigned.
Assist with documentation, reporting, and process improvement initiatives in support of corporate operations governance and recurring deliverables.
Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately, on time, and with clear follow-through.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Communications, or a related field
Minimum 3.0 GPA in declared major
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Local to the DMV area with availability to work onsite as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Prior internship or work experience in a corporate, administrative, or operations environment
Interest in business operations, government contracting, or professional services
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams or SharePoint
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar generative AI platforms for meeting summarization, documentation drafting, and workflow optimization preferred.
