Title: Validation Engineer

Location: Tucson, Arizona

Details: 24-month contract with ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire, fully onsite role

Pay Rate: $38.00 – 42.00/hr. with benefit inclusions

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to support the planning, execution, and analysis of machine-level thermal and cooling system tests. This role partners closely with design and validation teams to develop test plans, install and troubleshoot instrumentation, execute tests in lab and field environments, and communicate clear, data-driven recommendations. The position is highly collaborative and well suited for an engineer who enjoys both technical analysis and physical, hands-on work.

Responsibilities

Plan, set up, execute, and document thermal and cooling system tests
Develop test and validation plans in collaboration with design and validation engineers
Install, configure, and troubleshoot instrumentation such as thermocouples, pressure transducers, and flow meters
Execute tests with or without machine operators and support troubleshooting during test activities
Analyze test data and prepare clear technical reports with findings and recommendations
Communicate results to cross-functional engineering teams to support design decisions
Support senior engineers with test setup and execution while progressively taking ownership of assigned projects
Participate in design reviews and planning meetings, both in person and via teleconference

Years Of Experience And Education

Experience: 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience (internship experience accepted)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with coursework in Thermodynamics and/or Fluid Dynamics (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline)
Related Backgrounds: Cooling Test Engineer or similar test/validation engineering roles

Skills Required

Strong understanding of thermodynamic and fluid systems
Experience applying test instrumentation, including thermocouples, pressure transducers, and flow meters
Ability to plan and execute hands-on testing in lab, bay, and outdoor environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw sound technical conclusions
Clear written and verbal communication skills
High initiative and strong collaboration skills
Ability to perform physical work, including climbing large machines and using hand tools safely
