This is more than a security operations role—it’s a chance to shape how a global infrastructure software company aligns its security posture with long-term growth and compliance. Based in the Whitby office with hybrid flexibility, you'll be embedded in a tight-knit, technically skilled team that’s supporting clients around the world. From managing alerts and audits to implementing Microsoft cloud security tools, your work will directly contribute to the organization’s ISO 27001 alignment and its evolving GRC programs.

If you're looking to combine hands-on incident response with policy design, access control, and cross-team education, this role offers meaningful impact and long-term ownership. You'll work closely with developers, IT, and external partners to make sure the security and compliance frameworks in place are not just followed—but actually work.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years in IT or security operations, including incident response and triaging alerts from SOCs or SIEM platforms
Direct experience with Microsoft cloud security tools such as Intune, Defender, Purview, and Azure-based access management
Hands-on involvement in security governance frameworks, with ISO 27001 experience or strong familiarity with NIST, CIS, or similar

Desired Skills & Experience

Practical knowledge of managing cloud infrastructure hardening, especially in Azure environments
Experience supporting GRC programs across both production and development teams
Strong communication skills for translating security priorities across technical and non-technical teams

Hands-On Engineering: 65%
Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: 35%
