Location: London - onsite 3x p rweek

Duration: until 31/12/2026

Rate: £586 per day Umbrella

Hydrogen Group are supporting our Banking client in search of a Data Migration Tech Project Manager to support a major data and application migration programme.

This is a long-term contract, offering the opportunity to lead complex migration activity across systems, data, suppliers, and internal delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Govern supplier-delivered data and application migration activities, ensuring quality, completeness and alignment to programme timelines
Identify gaps, missing systems/data, undocumented data flows and unknowns across the migration landscape and translate these into delivery work packages
Lead discovery and analysis to define previously out-of-scope migration work
Produce scope definitions and work with commercial teams to raise and negotiate delivery with suppliers
Review and challenge supplier plans, RAID items, deliverables and assumptions
Escalate risks around dependencies and cutover readiness, driving actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Maintain clear reporting, stakeholder updates and supporting documentation

Skills & Experience Required

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge suppliers constructively
Proven delivery experience across data migration and application migration
Experience delivering hosting/platform transition projects
Strong analytical skills – able to identify missing dependencies, uncover gaps, and drive resolution
Confident operating in complex programmes with multiple workstreams, suppliers and governance
