Long term contract/freelance opportunity for a Cloud Architect with hands on Platform/Devops Engineering expertise to join one of my leading clients in Brussels on their Cloud & Infrastructure Transformation program. The role of the Cloud Architect will be to support in the Design and implementation of a Greenfield AWS environment which will serve as a Disaster recovery platform for a mission-critical workload that is currently operating in Azure.

In addition to the Enterprise wide design of a new AWS environment, you will also be responsible for supporting the continuous evolution of our clients Azure platform infrastructure, from an Architecture and Platform Engineering / Devops Engineering perspective (Automation, IaC, Terraform, CI/CD Pipeline, Azure Devops).

To be successful in this role, you must be a Cloud Architect with proven experience in both Azure and AWS environments and you must have previous experience as a hands on Platform Engineer/Devops Engineer. We are also seeking someone that is willing to work hands on as well as at an Architecture level in this role.

From a technical perspective, we need someone who’s designed an enterprise wide AWS environment, has experience with Azure Platform Engineering/Architecture, and finally from an engineering perspective needs to know: CI/CD Pipelines, Terraform, IaC, Automation, Cloud networking/cloud-native security.

From a certification perspective, our client is seeking someone who’s an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (mandatory), and ideally has certifications within AWS Security and Networking. Any Azure certifications are also nice to have.

This position is hybrid working, 50% on-site presence in Brussels.
