Senior Network Security Engineer

For a large international organization, we are looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to strengthen the network and security team.

You will join a team responsible for the availability, security and further development of a complex IT and OT network environment operating 24/7. You will contribute to projects related to data centers, cloud connectivity, WAN modernization and network security.

Your role

Manage and secure network and security infrastructure
Support the deployment and maintenance of IT and OT systems
Provide support to colleagues in Belgium and other European locations
Prepare and execute network and security changes
Actively participate in projects and operational support (on-call rotation)

Profile

You are fluent in Dutch or French and have a good command of English
You have a background in IT or computer science
You are a team player who can also work independently
You are willing to travel occasionally within Belgium
You are open to joining an on-call rotation (max. 1 week in 4)

Technical skills

Strong firewall expertise (Checkpoint required)
Solid knowledge of routing and switching (OSPF, ISIS, MST, …)
Experience with cloud technologies
Knowledge of Cisco networking and wireless
Experience with Python and/or Ansible for automation
Familiar with monitoring tools, NAC, syslog, TACACS and RADIUS

Practical information

Start date: as soon as possible
Duration: initial 1-year assignment (renewable)
Freelance is possible
Location: Brussels
Work model: on-site at start, then hybrid possible
