Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Material Controller to work for the Rail Systems service at Siemens.

The Role:

We are seeking a technically proficient Material Controller to join the Siemens Mobility team in Goole. Unlike a general administrative role, this position requires a professional who can take full ownership of the end-to-end material lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring material availability for high-value projects and fleets, requiring a deep understanding of supply chain logistics and rigorous data integrity.

Responsibilities:

Active Order Book Management: Proactively plan, schedule, and monitor material flow through the production cycle. You will not just "place" orders, but manage the "health" of the order book.
Supplier Performance & KPI Tracking: Interface directly with suppliers to expedite orders and resolve bottlenecks. You must be able to identify and report on industry-standard KPIs (e.g., On-Time Delivery, Lead Time Accuracy).
Master Data Integrity: Maintain and audit records within SAP, ensuring quantities, dates, and sources are 100% accurate.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the technical bridge between Purchasing, Production, and External Vendors to ensure no downtime in the production cycle.

Essential Skills & Experience (The "Must-Haves")

To be successful in this role and clear the Siemens interview process, candidates must demonstrate:

Intermediate to Advanced SAP Knowledge: You must be able to explain specific SAP transactions/t-codes and how you use the system to pull reports and manage inventory. Candidates will be tested on their SAP logic during the interview.
Proven Vendor Management: Direct experience engaging with suppliers to negotiate delivery dates and solve logistical issues.
Competency in Supply Chain Logic: A clear understanding of how to manage an order book and an ability to define and explain standard procurement KPIs.
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel is critical for data manipulation) and an ability to navigate complex, digitally-driven competency questions.
Attention to Detail: Ability to interpret complex purchase orders and technical requirements without supervision.

We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and encourage all qualified candidates to apply. While the hiring process may not be expedited, we urge all interested candidates to submit their applications promptly to ensure their consideration.

To apply, please follow the instructions on our application portal. We look forward to receiving your application
