The Short Video organization is one of the largest within TikTok Engineering. It consists of several sub-orgs and value chains, each focusing on different areas under the broader "Short Video" experience of TikTok. The team primarily focuses on product and feature engineering. Aligned to TikTok's mission, the Short Video org drives innovation and excellence in the experiences that define TikTok. This includes building and scaling cutting-edge technologies that power the short-form video ecosystem, such as video creation and editing tools, immersive playback, discovery, and social interactions.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12 weeks.

Online Assessment
Candidates who pass resume screening will be invited to participate in TikTok's technical online assessment.
Responsibilities:
Build new features that touch hundreds of millions of people around the world.
Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems.
Participate in technical discussions related to team's product and engineering work.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline;
Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026;
Experience with Python, Java, Golang, C#, or C++.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internships, work experience, coding competitions, or publications.
High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.

For Pay TransparencyCompensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45- $45.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
