Position Summary- Neighbourhood Architect (Reimagine the Bank Program)
As part of the Reimagine the Bank strategic transformation program, we are seeking a Senior Architect with a strong software engineering foundation, Machine Learning, AI (Gen AI/Agentic) to lead architecture and governance for the AI-Powered Banker workstream within Commercial Banking.
This role is ideal for an architect who began their career in hands-on software or data engineering, has experience building and scaling complex platforms, and now drives Neighborhood-level architecture, governance, and roadmaps. The Architect will define how data-heavy, ML- and AI-driven solutions—including Generative AI, LLM-based applications, and agentic technologies—are designed, governed, and scaled safely across a regulated Financial Institution.
Primary Responsibilities
Architecture & Governance
Own the architecture vision for the AI-Powered Banker workstream, grounded in practical software and data engineering principles
Establish and enforce architecture governance, design standards, and guardrails appropriate for a regulated Financial Institution
Review solution designs and ensure alignment with target-state and transition architectures
Act as a technical authority who can challenge designs based on engineering feasibility, scalability, and operability
Software-Led AI & Platform Architecture
Lead architecture for data-intensive, AI-enabled platforms, including:
Generative AI and LLM-based applications
Agentic and autonomous AI workflows
AI-assisted banker tools and decision-support systems
Guide teams on building, scaling, and operating LLM-based applications, including:
Model orchestration and service integration
Prompt design, versioning, and lifecycle management
Multi-agent orchestration using Frameworks like Langgraph/Strands
Performance, reliability, latency, and cost optimization
Define evaluation engineering approaches for AI systems, including accuracy, hallucination management, explainability, and monitoring using custom metrics
Road mapping & Transformation Enablement
Develop and maintain multi-year architecture roadmaps aligned to Reimagine the Bank outcomes
Translate engineering realities into pragmatic migration strategies from legacy platforms to AI-enabled architectures
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Platform teams to align architecture with delivery execution
Risk, Compliance & Responsible AI
Embed Responsible AI principles into architecture, including:
Human-in-the-loop controls
Auditability and traceability
Data privacy and security
Explainable AI
Partner with Risk, Compliance, Security, and Model Governance teams to ensure AI solutions meet enterprise and regulatory expectations without slowing innovation
Required Skills & Experience
12–18+ years of experience with a strong foundation in software engineering, progressing into solution and enterprise architecture
Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise-grade software platforms in a Financial Institution or highly regulated environment
Multi-Agent Systems / AI Orchestration Frameworks (LangGraph, Strands etc)
Gen AI / RAG Architecture
MCP/A2A Protocol implementation
Strong hands-on background with:
Distributed systems and APIs
Data-intensive architectures
Cloud-native application design
Demonstrated experience leading ML and AI initiatives, including Generative AI and LLM-based applications
Experience establishing and operating architecture governance in regulated environments
Ability to communicate deeply technical concepts to engineering, business, and risk stakeholders
Preferred Skills
Experience building or overseeing LLM-powered applications end-to-end (design, scale, evaluation, and monitoring)
Familiarity with agentic AI patterns and autonomous workflow orchestration
Exposure to evaluation engineering, model monitoring, and AI lifecycle tooling
Cloud platform experience (AWS / Azure)
Prior experience supporting enterprise-wide AI or digital transformation programs in banking
Consulting or platform modernization experience
Nice to Have
Experience architecting or integrating solutions on Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Financial Services Cloud) COTS Products, and other SaaS platforms within Commercial Banking or Financial Services environments
Exposure to embedding AI-driven insights and analytics into Salesforce-based banker or relationship management workflows
Familiarity with Salesforce data models, APIs, and integration patterns in enterprise architectures
Experience aligning Salesforce roadmaps with broader enterprise architecture, data platforms, and AI initiatives
Prior involvement in Salesforce modernization or transformation programs within regulated institutions
