Senior Architect – Generative AI & Agentic Workflows
**Role Summary**
Lead the architecture, governance, and transformation roadmap for AI‑Powered Banker capabilities within a regulated financial institution. Leverage deep software and data engineering expertise to design, scale, and secure data‑heavy ML and Gen AI platform solutions, ensuring compliance with financial industry standards and responsible AI principles.
**Expectations**
- 12‑18 + years of progressive architecture and engineering experience in regulated environments.
- Proven track record designing enterprise‑grade software platforms and driving large‑scale AI initiatives.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts to business, risk, and compliance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership in AI orchestration, model governance, and multi‑agent systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Architecture & Governance**
- Own the vision and design standards for the AI-Powered Banker workstream.
- Establish architecture governance, guardrails, and design reviews aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Challenge and validate solution designs for feasibility, scalability, and operability.
2. **Software‑led AI & Platform Architecture**
- Lead platform design for Gen AI, LLM‑based applications, and autonomous AI workflows.
- Guide teams on model orchestration, prompt lifecycle, multi‑agent orchestration (e.g., LangGraph, Strands), and performance/ cost optimization.
- Define AI system evaluation engineering: accuracy, hallucination mitigation, explainability, and custom monitoring metrics.
3. **Roadmapping & Transformation Enablement**
- Develop multi‑year architecture roadmaps linked to Reimagine the Bank outcomes.
- Translate legacy migration strategies into practical AI‑enabled architectures.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Platform teams to align delivery with architecture.
4. **Risk, Compliance & Responsible AI**
- Embed responsible AI controls, auditability, traceability, data privacy, and explainability into all designs.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Security, and Model Governance groups to meet enterprise & regulatory standards without stifling innovation.
**Required Skills**
- Strong foundation in software engineering with deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, cloud‑native design, and data‑intensive architectures.
- Extensive experience designing and scaling enterprise‑grade platforms in financial or highly regulated sectors.
- Proven knowledge of LLM/Gen AI architecture, RAG, and multi‑agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, Strands).
- Hands‑on experience with model deployment, orchestration, prompt engineering, and lifecycle management.
- Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and integrated ecosystem (e.g., MCP/A2A protocols).
- Established practices in architecture governance, risk mitigation, and responsible AI.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and business audiences.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications in cloud architecture (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) and/or security (CISSP, CISM) are highly preferred.
