Job Specifications

Role: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

• Build scalable data processing solutions in Databricks using PySpark / Spark SQL.

• Implement ETL/ELT workflows to ingest data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.

• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Develop and maintain data models that support reporting and analytics in Power BI.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across the data platform.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and production issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Prior Experience in data engineering or related roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.

• Experience building and optimizing data solutions in Databricks.

• Experience designing data models and supporting dashboards in Power BI.

• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or SQL Database.

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Azure DevOps).
