We're seeking an experienced Lead Java Engineer to take a key technical leadership role within a large, complex transformation programme.
This role suits someone who enjoys solving challenging problems, shaping technical solutions, and leading teams through design and delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical design and delivery of Java-based services
Create low-level designs (LLDs) aligned to high-level architecture
Collaborate with Architects, QA Leads, and Delivery teams
Provide hands-on technical leadership during the build phase
Promote engineering best practices and shared components
Assure quality, consistency, and technical standards across the team
Contribute to the wider Lead Engineer and engineering community
Essential Skills
Strong Java experience
Spring/Spring Boot
Kubernetes
Platform and systems integration
Proven experience leading engineers and technical delivery
Desirable
React/Front End experience
