Lead Data Engineer – Telecom Supply Chain

Location: Burnaby, Canada (Hybrid)

Contract: 12+ Months

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions for Telecom Supply Chain analytics. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on expertise with Apache Spark, Scala, Python, Azure, Databricks, and deep telecom supply chain domain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Spark, Scala, Python.
Architect data lake and warehouse solutions on Azure & Databricks.
Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory / Airflow.
Optimize Spark performance, cluster scaling, and data models.
Work with supply chain, ERP, and analytics teams to ensure data quality and availability.

Required Skills:

Strong proficiency in Scala, Python, SQL
Expertise in Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Databricks
Azure experience: Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory
CI/CD: Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
Databases: SQL Server, Oracle (Snowflake a plus)
Telecom Supply Chain experience (inventory, logistics, fulfillment, device lifecycle)

Qualifications:

8+ years in Data Engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data solutions
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field
Azure or Databricks certifications preferred
