We are looking for a Head of Systems & Propulsion Engineering to come onboard in our Engineering Directorate in Daniel ’s team : a team of 350collaborators!

Your Mission
The Head of Systems & Propulsion Engineering leads the team in charge of the Engineering activities for the following ATR aircraft systems : Propeller, Engine, Fuel systems, Pneumatic, Air conditioning & pressurisation, Ice protection, Flight controls, Hydraulic power, Landing gear, Electrical power, Fire protection, Oxygen systems, Avionics systems (auto-flight, navigation, communication, indicating, maintenance,...), Lighting, part of Cabin systems.
The Systems & Propulsion Engineering mission is structured along six streams:
Support to the in-service fleet, including continued airworthiness and safety of the fleet
Support to aircraft production and ramp-up
Support to aircraft sales
Development of design solutions, intended to continuously improve aircraft safety, comply with evolving regulations, offer new functions enhancing the aircraft value, reduce the aircraft direct maintenance cost and solve obsolescence issues
Prepare the future of the aircraft
Prepare the future of Engineering through the development of key technical competences and the continuous improvement of ways of working, processes and tools
The Systems & Propulsion Engineering team is composed of 70+ Engineers organised in 5 Groups :
Avionics systems
Hydromechanical systems
Electrical systems
Propulsion and Air systems
Transverse activities, including Systems Safety, Human Factors, Cyber Security, Development Assurance, Hardware & Software Qualification and Integration Test Means
The Head of Systems & Propulsion Engineering guides, motivates and develops his/her team and implements a culture of collaboration, performance and efficiency culture in his/her sphere of influence.
He/she also has an important leadership role with respect to the Systems & Propulsion Suppliers in his/her scope of responsibility.
For the activities in his/her perimeter, the Head of Systems & Propulsion Engineering :
is in charge of driving technically the Systems & Propulsion Engineering team, in accordance with applicable development processes and regulations
interacts with the most strategic/critical systems suppliers (direct interface with approximately 15 suppliers)
collaborates as required with
other Engineering teams : Structure, Cabin, Chief Engineering, MAP, Flight Physics, Airworthiness, Flight Tests, Technical Documentation, Engineering Performance
all other ATR Functions : Customer Support, Procurement, FAL, Programme, Marketing & Sales, Quality, HR, Finance,...
is accountable for delivering technical solutions supporting the following ATR business priorities : in-service fleet support, aircraft production support, sales support, development of product design improvements, preparation of the future
is accountable for developing key technical competences and for continuously improving Engineering ways of working, processes and tools
is accountable for technical Risks & Opportunities management in his / her perimeter
on a case by case basis, interacts directly with Airworthiness Authorities and ATR Aircraft Operators
