Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Glasgow (2-3 days on-site)
Rate: +-PS400 per day
We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our leading financial services client on a long-term contract.
This role will focus on cloud infrastructure, containerisation, and automation supporting large-scale migrations and platform modernisation projects.What You'll Do
Design, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) using CloudFormation.
Build and manage containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS.
Configure and optimise DevOps tools - Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, Git, Jira, etc.
Work with AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, EC2, MSK, RDS (Oracle preferred).
Manage networking components - VPC, subnets, peering, Firewalls, and load balancers.
Support Java-based applications, APIs and microservices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
What You'll Bring
5+ years' experience working with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
3+ years' experience setting up cloud infrastructure via AWS CloudFormation.
Solid background in DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, Git, Jira).
Strong understanding of Linux systems and network architecture.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
5+ years' experience with Scripting (PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, Node.js, or Python).
AWS certifications or equivalent experience.
Experience in banking or other regulated environments.
Hands-on experience with Docker and orchestration platforms (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
