JOB SUMMARY

The role of Credit Risk Analyst is responsible to prepare risk assessment and credit recommendations in support of existing and new business, as well as to monitor credit exposure. The role is also responsible for reviewing trading contracts and other legal documents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyse financial statements and prepare credit reviews for existing and new businesses proposed by Front Office and recommend credit limits and credit mitigation as appropriate.
Monitor counterparties credit on a daily basis and report credit limit usage.
Implement effective credit risk mitigation measures.
Review trading contracts and other transactional legal documents.
Liaise with Legal and Compliance department and recommend to amend contract documents if necessary.
Provide support on KYC and compliance issues.
Prepare internal reports related to credit limit and contracts.
This role will be involved in other ad-hoc duties as required by the line manager.
Provide cover for team members during periods of absence as may be required.
Ensure compliance with departmental procedures and company policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL

Solid knowledge of credit risk and proven experience in a Credit Risk Analyst or similar role for 2-5 years.
Proficient in financial analysis methods with the ability to interpret financial statements from various European reporting frameworks.
Experience and knowledge of financial instruments.
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel skills.
Very high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proactive and flexible with excellent time management skills.
Works well under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising within the team, Front Office and internal departments.
Team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment and supports colleagues to achieve team goals.
Professional verbal and written English language skills.

DESIRABLE

Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
Previous experience of working with SAP.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm

This role is based at offices in Holborn, London.
