About Us

Joyfully Organic Farm is a certified organic, four-season farm in the GTA. We're known for our vibrant Farm Share program, beautiful vegetables, and bustling farmers' market stand. We're a first-generation farm with a skilled, close-knit team that takes pride in producing high-quality food and building strong connections with our community.

The Role

We're looking for very friendly, reliable staff to join our farmers' market team. You'll be the face of the farm at our market booth -- setting up our colourful display of vegetables and flowers, welcoming customers, processing sales, and sharing knowledge about what we grow. Our market staff are key to building lasting relationships with our community and ensuring customers leave with both great produce and an amazing experience.

Responsibilities

Set up and take down the farmers' market booth (tents, tables, produce displays)
Restock and maintain a beautiful, organized, and abundant display throughout the day
Confidently apply selling strategies to boost customer satisfaction and sales
Engage with customers in a warm and professional way, answering questions about our farm and produce
Process sales quickly and accurately using our farm's market techniques
Encourage customers to discover new vegetables and take home a little more by offering cooking tips, recipe ideas, and friendly suggestions.

Qualifications

Positive, outgoing personality with excellent people skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for the full market day
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong knowledge of how to cook and enjoy fresh produce, with the ability to speak about it with ease.
Experience in customer service, retail, or food service
Knowledge of or interest in organic farming is an asset

Details

Location: Evergreen Brick Works Farmers Market, Toronto

Schedule: Saturdays 6:30 - 2:00 pm from September to December or January

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, plus farm vegetables to take home
