**Job Title** Assistant Company Secretary **Role Summary** Provide high‑quality company secretarial support within a fixed‑term (6 months) governance team. Manage board and committee logistics, statutory filings, and compliance, ensuring adherence to UK company law and best practices. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate and timely board materials, minutes, and regulatory filings. - Maintain statutory registers and liaise with Companies House. - Apply corporate governance expertise to support governance projects and process improvements. - Serve as a reliable point of contact for directors, auditors, and internal stakeholders. - Demonstrate strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Prepare and coordinate agendas, papers, and minutes for board and committee meetings. 2. Maintain statutory registers; ensure timely submissions to Companies House and other regulators. 3. Support governance initiatives, including policy updates and process enhancements. 4. Provide advice on corporate governance and regulatory compliance best practices. 5. Liaise with directors, auditors, and cross‑functional teams to gather information and ensure alignment. 6. Use Microsoft Office and board portal software to manage documentation and workflow. **Required Skills** - Strong understanding of UK company law and corporate governance principles. - Excellent organisational and time‑management skills. - Clear written and oral communication; adept at stakeholder management. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and board portal platforms. - Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks. **Required Education & Certifications** - Part‑qualified or fully qualified Chartered Secretary (ICSA/CGI) or equivalent professional qualification in corporate governance. - Relevant academic degree in Law, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
