Job Description
**Job Title:** Finance Officer **Role Summary:** Provide accurate, timely transaction processing and account reconciliation support within a busy finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Manage incoming payments, invoicing, direct debits, refunds, debt recovery, suspense clearance, and bank reconciliations—all primarily from a remote setting with minimal office presence. **Expectations:** - Adhere to strict quality and deadline‑driven delivery. - Maintain confidentiality and data protection compliance. - Proactively improve processes and collaborate effectively within a cross‑functional team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Process and allocate all incoming payments. - Post cash, benefits, and debtor invoices to finance systems. - Raise and issue sales ledger invoices. - Administer and reconcile Direct Debits. - Prepare refunds and resolve unallocated or queried items. - Monitor debtor accounts and support debt recovery efforts. - Clear suspense accounts and conduct bank reconciliations. **Required Skills:** - Experience in finance or transaction‑processing environments. - Proficiency in computerised accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Strong numeracy and meticulous attention to detail. - Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment. - Professional communication, proactive teamwork, and continuous improvement mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Relevant finance or accounting qualification (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, ACCA Foundation, or equivalent) preferred. ---
