Job Description

Job title: Business Analyst / Business Process Consultant (Project Based) Role Summary: Partner with department leaders to assess current workflows, document standardized processes, and produce SOPs and role-based playbooks. Deliver actionable insights on process simplification, automation opportunities, and compliance alignment. Expectations: - Complete project deliverables within agreed fixed-fee timeline. - Maintain clear, consistent documentation that meets internal standards. - Provide guidance for ongoing documentation upkeep. Key Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with owners of business units to capture existing processes, systems, and pain points. 2. Facilitate interviews, workshops, and process mapping sessions to collect detailed information. 3. Translate findings into well‑structured SOPs and role‑specific playbooks that are easy to understand and reference. 4. Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend simplification or automation solutions. 5. Evaluate technology or system enhancements that can reduce manual effort. 6. Ensure all documentation meets compliance requirements and organizational standards. 7. Deliver final artifacts in a clean, accessible format for training, onboarding, and daily operations. 8. Advise teams on maintaining and updating documentation post‑engagement. Required Skills: - Business analysis and process consulting experience with workflow documentation. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, high attention to detail. - Effective communication and facilitation of cross‑functional conversations. - Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.). - Knowledge of SOP creation and basic compliance expectations. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, IT, Operations, or related field. - Preferred certifications: Lean Six Sigma, PMP, CBAP, or equivalent process‑management credentials. ---
