Job Description
Job Title: Information Technology Coordinator Role Summary: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ensuring effective communication, vendor management, and alignment of IT solutions with organizational goals. Support clinical and administrative operations by coordinating service delivery, troubleshooting systems, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. Expectations: Deliver reliable IT services that support patient care and regulatory compliance. Maintain strong vendor relationships, meet SLA targets, and resolve incidents promptly. Demonstrate independent judgment in managing multiple priorities and projects while ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with billing and security standards. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain relationships with MSPs and other technology vendors, monitoring SLA compliance and escalating issues. - Manage inventory of HIPAA-compliant IT equipment and software through approved vendors. - Serve as primary point of contact between business units and MSPs, translating healthcare workflows into technical specifications. - Review, prioritize, and dispatch service tickets, ensuring resolution by appropriate MSP resources and adherence to incident response protocols for PHI. - Audit closed tickets for completeness and billing compliance. - Support the Director of Health Information Systems and the EHR Manager in coordinating system workflows, troubleshooting myEvolv, OpenDental, and related integrations. - Assist in planning and coordinating IT projects with MSPs, tracking milestones, and ensuring deliverables meet business expectations. - Document processes, maintain accurate records of vendor interactions, and assist with development during site expansions or new builds. - Travel up to 25% of time; work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as required. Required Skills: - Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud services. - Experience in IT coordination or vendor management (2+ years). - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and independent tasks. - Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and PHI incident response procedures. - Proficiency with ticketing systems, service level monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of EHR and dental software. - Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - Minimum 2 years of experience in IT coordination or vendor management. - Must pass state and national criminal background checks.
