Job Title: Senior IT Support Engineer (On-site)
Role Summary:
Lead technical support for a multi‑technology environment, providing day‑to‑day end‑user help, infrastructure management, and resolution of complex issues in a financial services context. Maintain high‑quality service delivery, ensure security compliance, and adapt to varying schedules, including occasional weekend support.
Expectations:
- 5–10 years of IT support experience in a multi‑tech environment, preferably within financial services.
- Proven ability to communicate confidently with senior staff and convey technical information clearly.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, teamwork, and independent working capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on‑site end‑user support and remote troubleshooting for Windows and MacOS desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Manage on‑premise infrastructure: desktops, networking, audio‑visual/video conferencing, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Hyper‑V, Exchange.
- Administer Microsoft Cloud solutions (Office 365, Azure), device management (Intune, Datto RMM, TeamViewer).
- Implement and maintain backup & disaster‑recovery solutions (Azure, SkyKick, Barracuda, Spanning).
- Apply security controls: MFA, Azure Audit Logs, file/folder permissions.
- Collaborate with the team to meet client satisfaction and uptime goals.
- Keep current with technology trends and industry best practices.
- Adhere to shift pattern (Mon‑Fri 09:30‑18:00, with flexible start/end and limited weekend work).
Required Skills:
- Expertise in on‑premise environments (desktops, networking, AV).
- Proficient with Microsoft Cloud services, Office 365, Intune, Datto, TeamViewer.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Windows/MacOS, Active Directory, Hyper‑V, Exchange.
- Hardware troubleshooting for laptops/desktop PCs.
- DNS, DHCP, AD, Hyper‑V, Exchange, iOS/Android device support.
- Security suite experience (MFA, audit logs).
- Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS‑900) – mandatory.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) – mandatory.
- ITIL Foundation – preferred.
- PRINCE2 Foundation – preferred.
