Job title: Sr. DevOps AWS Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Lead the design, automation, and operation of scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure for a global SaaS platform. Serve as a senior technical champion for DevOps practices, collaborating across engineering, data, security, and operations to drive reliability, observability, and cost optimization.
Expactations: • Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for a portfolio of services. • Design and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation. • Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem processes. • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.\n• Participate in on‑call rotation, runbook creation, and process improvement.\n• Evaluate and integrate new tools to enhance reliability and developer experience.\nKey Responsibilities: • Architect and automate AWS infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and security. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / CircleCI. • Manage containerized workloads on Amazon EKS and optimize Kubernetes operations. • Design monitoring, alerting, and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK/OpenSearch. • Drive security governance, IAM design, and compliance initiatives. • Analyze cost, performance, and scalability metrics to recommend infrastructure optimizations. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to the DevOps team.\nRequired Skills: • 8+ years of cloud infrastructure experience, primarily AWS. • Deep expertise in EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail. • Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, and IaC best practices. • Extensive experience with CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI). • Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash. • Solid background in Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and container orchestration. • Proven experience with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch). • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (HTTP/S, SSH, VPNs, firewalls, VPC design). • Familiarity with cloud security principles, IAM, and incident response.\nRequired Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar professional certification is preferred.\
