Job Description
**Job title:** Project Control Specialist **Role Summary:** Coordinate planning, cost control, schedule tracking, forecasting, risk, and documentation for capital projects, ensuring compliance with governance and FEL methodology. **Expectations:** Deliver timely, accurate project performance reports and data packages to support decision‑making and stage‑gate reviews. Maintain rigorous documentation standards and secure information flow across all project stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and update cost reports, track commitments, accruals, and actual spend; identify variances and recommend corrective actions. - Develop, update, and monitor project schedules (Primavera, MS Project); manage critical path, constraints, and schedule impacts. - Apply progress measurement methodologies; produce weekly/monthly progress curves and KPI dashboards. - Forecast cost and schedule (EAC, S-Curve); conduct trend analysis and propose mitigation strategies. - Manage change requests, maintain a change log, and assess cost/schedule impacts. - Support risk register upkeep, track mitigation actions, and quantify risk impacts. - Review contractor and vendor cost/schedule reports; validate quantities, progress claims, and invoicing documentation. - Prepare weekly/monthly project reports (cost performance, schedule status, risk summary, earned value, issues). - Provide cost/schedule data for FEL‑4 stage‑gate approvals and governance compliance. - Govern Autodesk Docs/ACC: enforce folder structures, naming conventions, metadata, version control. - Maintain Deliverable Register, coordinate document submissions, approvals, and rejections; monitor overdue items. - Verify vendor data requirements (manuals, drawings, certificates, testing documentation). - Ensure accurate as‑built updates and field markup uploads. - Manage user permissions, audit access, and perform periodic document health checks. - Coordinate turnover package for Mechanical Completion, PSSR, and final handover. **Required Skills:** - Project controls expertise (cost, schedule, forecasting, earned value). - Proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project. - Strong analytical, reporting, and trend‑analysis abilities. - Experience with Autodesk Docs/ACC or equivalent document management systems. - Knowledge of FEL methodology and capital project governance. - Detail‑oriented with robust versioning and metadata management. - Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and problem‑solving skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field. - Professional certification preferred: PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management credential. - Certification or experience in Autodesk Document Governance is advantageous.
