Job Description
Job title: Supply Chain Procurement Planner Role Summary: Execute and manage the procurement of raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies using MRP outputs from NetSuite. Oversee PO creation, supplier communication, and data integrity to ensure seamless material flow to production in a fast‑growing CPG environment. Expectations: * Deliver accurate, on‑time procurement aligned with production schedules. * Maintain high PO accuracy and data integrity in NetSuite. * Resolve MRP exceptions and supplier issues efficiently. * Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and MRP reliability. Key Responsibilities: * Review daily/weekly MRP‑generated purchase recommendations in NetSuite. * Validate and refine MRP parameters (lead times, safety stocks, order multiples, preferred suppliers) in collaboration with the MRP data consultant. * Translate MRP outputs into purchase orders that match production plans and demand forecasts. * Monitor and update ERP records for pricing, delivery dates, and quantities. * Confirm supplier acknowledgements, track delivery status, and expedite orders as needed. * Serve as the daily point of contact for suppliers, communicating order status and delivery schedules. * Coordinate with Quality Assurance to verify material compliance and documentation. * Escalate supplier performance issues and support corrective actions. * Maintain item master data, including lead times, MOQs, and supplier details. * Partner with Planning to balance inventory against demand and storage constraints. * Support cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and obsolescence risk mitigation. * Collaborate with Production Planning, Quality, R&D, Logistics, and Finance/AP on material needs, new qualifications, shipment scheduling, and invoice resolution. * Identify and implement procurement and MRP process improvements, and contribute to NetSuite testing and configuration projects. Required Skills: * Strong understanding of MRP logic and demand‑driven material planning. * Advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting. * Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and follow‑up abilities. * Proactive, clear communicator with internal teams and suppliers. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a growth‑oriented, fast‑paced setting. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field. * 2–5 years of procurement, material planning, or supply chain operations experience (CPG or food manufacturing preferred). * Hands‑on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP/MRP system.
