Senior Full‑Stack Engineer (Backend Focus)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the core API and data orchestration layer that powers the product. Act as the primary liaison between backend/platform teams and the front‑end experience, driving product strategy and scaling the platform. Prepare to transition into a technical leadership role.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 6 years of full‑stack engineering with a backend/API emphasis.
- Proven end‑to‑end ownership of features in fast‑paced startup or high‑growth environments.
- Strong product‑oriented mindset: deliver functions that delight users.
- Comfortable leading projects independently while collaborating across teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement high‑performance, secure APIs and data pipelines using TypeScript, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
- Define and enforce standards for API design, versioning, and documentation.
- Collaborate with front‑end developers to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experience.
- Own the deployment, monitoring, and scaling strategy; integrate observability (logs, metrics, alerts).
- Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, and promote best practices.
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications and realistic roadmaps.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross‑functional discussions.
**Required Skills**
- **Programming & Frameworks:** TypeScript, JavaScript, NestJS, React, REST/GraphQL.
- **Databases & Persistence:** PostgreSQL, relational modeling, query optimization.
- **DevOps & Cloud:** AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform (preferred).
- **System Design:** API architecture, data flow, scalability, fault tolerance.
- **Testing & Quality:** unit, integration, end‑to‑end tests; test‑driven development.
- **Soft Skills:** Product thinking, communication, autonomous decision‑making, agile methodology.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are advantageous but not mandatory.
