Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Apprentice – Sales (2‑Year Modern Apprenticeship) **Role Summary:** Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Sales Department, managing telephone enquiries, email correspondence, and sales documentation. Log and monitor sales opportunities in Salesforce, support order confirmations, and act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Simultaneously pursue a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Business and Administration (Level 6) while contributing to day‑to‑day sales operations. **Expectations:** - Complete the SVQ Level 6 Business and Administration qualification, meeting coursework deadlines and attending required campus sessions in Aberdeen. - Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and strong communication skills in all interactions. - Maintain high standards of data accuracy, documentation, and adherence to health & safety, quality, and sustainability policies. - Participate in CPD activities, sales events, and potential short‑term secondments to broaden skill sets. **Key Responsibilities:** - Handle inbound telephone calls and email enquiries, providing timely, courteous responses. - Log new sales enquiries and track existing opportunities within Salesforce. - Process order confirmations and related documentation for the Sales team. - Coordinate with overseas sales personnel to support global sales initiatives. - Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments, fostering positive working relationships. - Maintain vendor approval records and support procurement processes. - Attend exhibitions, trade shows, and sales events as required. - Uphold and promote company policies on health & safety, quality, environment, and sustainability. - Undertake additional tasks or secondments as directed to support broader business objectives. **Required Skills:** - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Strong organisational and time‑management abilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms. - Detail‑oriented data entry and record‑keeping. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. - Professional demeanor and adaptability to changing priorities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a secondary school qualification (or equivalent). - Enrolment in or completion of a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Business and Administration, Level 6 (to be achieved during the apprenticeship).
