**Job Title:** Senior Group Sales Manager
**Role Summary:**
Lead and expand the high‑volume Groups (Rooms) business for a flagship 4‑star London hotel. Drive revenue, ADR, and market share by acquiring and managing large corporate, creative, luxury leisure, and agency accounts while coordinating with Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and Operations teams.
**Expectations:**
- Proactively grow existing and new group portfolios, focusing on high‑value and complex bookings.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline health, and disciplined follow‑up.
- Represent the brand at industry events, site inspections, and client entertainments, including international travel.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Develop and execute targeted prospecting plans to secure new group business.
2. Manage end‑to‑end sales cycle: enquiry → negotiation → contracting → post‑departure follow‑up.
3. Build and nurture relationships with corporate bookers, TMCs, DMCs, agencies, and production companies.
4. Collaborate with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to align pricing, segmentation, and guest experience strategies.
5. Generate monthly sales reports and contribute to commercial planning.
6. Ensure seamless handover to Events and Operations teams, maintaining guest satisfaction and repeat business.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years in senior Group Sales within the 4‑5 star London market.
- Proven success managing large, multi‑day or multi‑room group contracts.
- Strong business development and negotiation capabilities.
- Knowledge of the London Groups market across corporate, fashion, creative, agency, and luxury leisure segments.
- Ability to generate new revenue and maintain robust pipeline.
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and networking skills.
- Commercial acumen: interpret market data, booking pace, and forecast accurately.
- Proficiency with Opera PMS, CRM systems, RFP platforms (Envision experience a plus).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant sales or hospitality certifications preferred (e.g., Certified Hospitality Sales Professional).
