Job Description
**Job title:** Leasing Consultant (1-Year Contract) **Role Summary:** Assist prospects through the rental process, generate leads, conduct property tours, close leases, and maintain customer relationships while meeting occupancy and sales targets. **Expectations:** - Work evenings and weekends as required. - Achieve monthly rental goals and contribute to occupancy optimization. - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, text, and in‑person. - Input all leads into CRM, ensuring accurate reporting. - Perform market comparison shop analysis of local competitors. - Conduct interviews to assess resident needs and match appropriate properties. - Tour properties, suites, and amenities, emphasizing value and features. - Encourage prospect submissions of online applications; follow up with undecided leads. - Verify suitability through credit and income checks. - Collect rent deposit payments in accordance with provincial requirements. - Maintain properties and vacant suites in “show‑ready” condition in collaboration with operations. - Manage walk‑in prospects, answer general inquiries, and evaluate client needs. - Greet all clients and maintain comprehensive product knowledge. - Coordinate with marketing and revenue management to optimize media and pricing strategies. - Contact existing residents to promote lease renewals. - Provide feedback to management on incentive and rate effectiveness. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 2 years of sales experience. - High energy, strong customer‑service orientation, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. - Ability to work evenings and weekends. - Proficiency with Salesforce and Yardi (asset). - Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High‑school diploma (required). - Postsecondary education in sales or marketing (preferred).
