Job Description
**Job title:** Senior Software Engineer II **Role Summary:** Senior individual‑contributor leading end‑to‑end design, implementation, and delivery of complex backend and frontend systems. Owns the full product lifecycle and serves as the primary technical escalation point for mid‑senior engineers. **Expectations:** - Own projects from proof‑of‑concept to general availability and maintenance. - Translate strategic roadmap into actionable engineering plans. - Drive governance, architecture alignment, and delivery excellence. - Influence senior technical and business stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Go. - Build CI/CD, change‑management, and platform integrations (GitHub Actions, XLR). - Implement Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub‑based workflow foundations. - Lead frontend architecture with React and develop OneApp‑based applications. - Define data models, schemas, and secure, scalable data flows. - Own functional and non‑functional requirements across all lifecycle stages. - Establish QA strategies; integrate regression, performance, and load testing. - Design observability stack (metrics, logs, alerts) to meet SLOs. - Produce architecture diagrams and ADRs; participate in governance forums. - Mentor Engineer II/III, improve documentation, and unblock delivery. **Required Skills:** - 8+ years professional software engineering. - Deep expertise in Go, distributed systems, and cloud‑native architectures. - Hands‑on Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, CI/CD pipeline experience. - Strong testing, observability, and production operations knowledge. - Excellent written and visual communication (diagrams, documentation). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified Developer) preferred but not mandatory.
