**Job title**: Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Linux, AWS
**Role Summary**:
Design, maintain and automate Linux and AWS infrastructure to support internal and customer‑facing services. Partner with Development and DevOps to deliver reliable, scalable environments and drive continuous improvement.
**Expectations**:

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Automate infrastructure tasks (build, scaling, self‑healing, monitoring, patching) using tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, and Ninja.
- Support and maintain Ubuntu/Linux servers, database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL), web servers (Apache, Nginx), mail servers (Postfix), and version control (Git).
- Administer AWS environments (EC2, ECS, Lambda, VPC, Route53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation).
- Ensure Windows Server services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS) are functional when required.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and enforce change‑management processes.
- Guarantee compliance with internal controls, security policies, and ITIL practices.
- Proactively research and recommend infrastructure enhancements.
**Required Skills**:
- Advanced Linux administration (Ubuntu, Apache, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Nginx, Postfix, Git).
- Experience with configuration management & IaC tools (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Ninja).
- Hands‑on AWS skills (EC2, ECS, Lambda, VPC, Route53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS).
- Proficient scripting in Python and Bash.
- Strong understanding of IT security fundamentals.
- Excellent problem‑solving, prioritization, and customer‑facing communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Engineer, or equivalent) are advantageous.
