**Job Title:** Finance Business Partner (FP&A – Clinical & BioPharma)
**Role Summary:**
Serve as the finance partner to the Clinical & Medical Office and BioPharma Business Unit of a private‑equity backed life‑sciences organization. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for multiple development programmes, provide management reporting, and collaborate with scientific and medical leaders to ensure disciplined investment decisions and clear performance visibility.
**Expactations:**
- Produce accurate annual budgets, 24‑month rolling forecasts, and long‑range plans.
- Deliver timely variance analysis and KPI dashboards that inform senior leadership.
- Maintain detailed, project‑level financial models supporting decision‑making.
- Champion financial governance, accrual accuracy, and compliance with investor reporting standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to scientific and medical stakeholders, challenging assumptions and recommending financially sound actions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead annual budgeting and multi‑program forecasting processes.
- Build and update comprehensive financial models for clinical and bio‑pharma projects.
- Track monthly project performance against budget/forecast, identifying risks and gaps.
- Collaborate with programme and project leaders to capture cost drivers, timelines, and milestones.
- Support business case development for new programmes, partnerships, and external opportunities.
- Deliver robust management reporting, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis.
- Strengthen project accounting, accruals, and financial governance processes.
- Enhance budgeting and project tracking tools to meet scaling and investor reporting needs.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced FP&A capabilities with strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Experience in R&D finance, clinical programme finance, or project reporting within pharma, biotech, CRO, or life‑sciences sectors.
- Proven ability to own budgeting & forecasting in multi‑project, multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, VBA) and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to present complex financial concepts to senior scientific leaders.
- Knowledge of portfolio governance, stage‑gate processes, and pipeline investment decisions.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Qualified accountant status: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (preferred).
