Location: Kortrijk, Belgium

Start Date: ASAP – Late February

Work Arrangement: 5 days on-site during the first month, with flexibility thereafter for 4 days on-site 1 day hybrid.

For a client in Kortrijk, we are searching for a business controller to support operational and financial performance through hands-on analysis and reporting. The role suits a junior-to-mid level controller with around 5 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and an operational mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting (P&L, cost analysis, variances)
Perform payroll checks and controlling to ensure accuracy and alignment with budgets
Reconcile and analyse inventory in close cooperation with supply chain and operations
Conduct driver-based performance analysis linking operational KPIs to financial results
Working within the second line controlling and financial management of the business with the holdings.
Maintain and improve Excel-based models, reports, and reconciliations (advanced formulas, pivots, data analysis)

Required Experience & Skills

5 years’ experience in business or financial controlling
Strong hands-on Excel expertise (advanced formulas, pivots, reconciliations)
Operational finance experience (payroll, inventory, cost control)
Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset
Fluent in English, Dutch fluent
Comfortable working on-site and collaborating with non-finance stakeholders
