Due to an internal promotion, Arriva Rail London are on the hunt for a new HR Administrator to join our team! The ideal individual will have a strong background in administration as well as planning events. No HR or railway experience required, so this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to change industry/ role!

What you’ll be doing:
The main responsibility for a HR Administrator is to support the HR function and business in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to exit, whilst participating in HR projects and initiatives as directed by the HR Leadership team.
You will be working closely with the talent team, producing offers of employment and contracts, whilst also ensuring that all recruitment and selection paperwork is filed on employee files in line with audit requirements.
As the HR Administrator, you will also be responsible for processing new starters, adding them onto the HR System (Workday) and managing all pre-employment activities including right to work, reference checks, DBS checks and pre-employment medicals. You will be a Workday superstar, providing support to hiring managers and employees alike.
You will also work closely with the hiring managers across the business, providing appropriate documentation to line managers for employees going through each stage of their employment including probations, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, sickness and absences, medicals.
The HR Administrator will also be tasked with organising and minuting meetings for all employee related scenarios across the business, as well as working with external third-party providers in arranging medical appointment for both staff and prospective employees.
You will also support the wider HR team (including payroll) with all administrative tasks, keeping on top of the HR Administrative inbox, as well as arranging companywide events such as long service award and shining stars.
What we need from you:
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience, having worked in a large organisation, HR experience would be nice but not essential.
You will need to have had experience managing events and arranging meetings, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Proven experience with data input, and knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and ideally any HR Information System, but that is not essential.
You will need to have excellent accuracy and attention to detail as well as the ability to organise own work.
This individual will be required to come into the office 2/3 times a week.
